Larsen Inducted Into Fishing Hall of Fame
Lakeland, FL — Nationally known angler and book author Larry Larsen has just been inducted into the Fishing Hall of Fame as a "Legendary Angler." The Hall of Fame Awards Committee, consisting of
prestigious Advisory Board Governors who are knowledgeable and actively involved in the sport of fishing, met for three days to make their selections of the 1999 recipients. The award
was in recognition of Larsen's record of outstanding achievement and accomplishment which has benefited the industry and its fraternity of participants, according to Ted Dzialo, Awards Committee Secretary of the
National Fresh Water Fishing Hall of Fame. Larsen was cited for his largemouth and peacock bass fishing magazine articles and the 18 books he has written that have expanded interest in those species.
"Through his prolific writings, photography, seminars, videos, TV and radio show participation, he has passed his knowledge and the lore of the sport to others," said Dzialo. "The
pursuit of the various bass species have also earned him several world records from the U.S. and South America." "I'm thrilled and deeply honored by the induction," said Larsen. "This
industry recognition is the highest attainable for an angler/communicator. I'm very proud that the Hall considered me worthy of such an election." Larsen just completed his third
book on peacock bass, entitled "Peacock Bass Addiction". For more information on the release of that title or on any of his other books, or on the new Peacock Bass Association
